Not sure anyone noticed, but I've been somewhat absent from blog world lately due to personal concerns. I had two surgeries in late March/early April to remove over 25 kidney stones that had formed on both sides of my body, the largest around 7 mm (too large to pass). Unfortunately, I reacted poorly to the stent, and then to the stent removal after the second surgery, resulting in three ER visits and two hospital admissions. In fact, I spent my birthday in the hospital, which was not exactly how I wanted to spend it, but my family and my nurses helped me make the best of it.
As of right now, I've been home since last Tuesday being treated for swelling/inflammation around my right kidney that they think was caused by the surgery combined with some old scarring. I'm praying hard that this treatment works, because I've been semi out of commission for almost a month now, and I'm not enjoying it! Unfortunately, since then, some other 'when it rains, it pours' type things have cropped up, so I haven't felt much like writing.
Anyways, just thought I'd update in case anyone is reading and let them/you know that I'm hoping to be back to myself soon.
